Dead Reckoning By Charlaine Harris

Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, #11)Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Charlaine Harris is one of my favorite authors. I have sent hundreds of dollars buying her mouth watering books. Her words use to be seductive and thrilling and her character Sookie Stackhouse is the best telepathic friend I never had. I’m not even going to mention the Trueblood series that come on HBO; that I am a devout fan of. Bottom line Charlaine Harris is an excellent writer and I look up too her. When it comes to writing, she is definitely one of my role models. With that being said, I will now discuss Dead Reckoning. I had to read it twice because the first time I read it, it was so boring, I skipped pages and chapters and finally I found myself reading the last few pages. Afterward, I felt bad I begin to think maybe I didn’t give the book a good chance maybe I should read it again, so I did. Cover to cover of poor ole Sookie never knowing what to do, who to love, and who to trust. Maybe Ms. Harris rushed though this book. Maybe she didn’t take the time to think of a plot where Sookie evolve from poor ole Sookie the waitress. Regardless, each one of these Sookie Stackhouse books are getting worse and worse and I am a person who LOVE Sookie. I wish I was Sookie and had two handsome vampires fighting for my attention. But I wouldn’t want to always be a waitress forever. Where is Sookie hopes and dreams. Please let her evolve into something more then a country bumpkin. Well I give this book 3 stars and I am still going to buy the rest of the Sookie Stackhouse series because I have started collected them and I would hate to have an incomplete collection. Hopefully the rest is better then this one.
